Student DIRT Task

Identify a strength or strengths in your assessment: One of the strengths in my assessment was the language questions I answered as I wrote in detail using mise en scene, camera, denotation, connotation and layout.  I described all of these aspects in great detail and analysed the different sides of the poster to a good standard, for example I portrayed them to be contrasting- left side was negative and dull representing communism and the other bright and colourful, representing capitalism.  What are the areas you need to improve? However, I need to add more detail when explaining about Ofcom and how they regulate and why/if it is hard to do so etc. As well, I need to explain further about what impressions we may have as to it being a drama, just from looking at the poster- as I was quite vague when trying to describe it.  I could’ve said how it says ‘Spy drama’ in the bottom left corner of the poster. What do you need to focus on for your next assessment? I need to focus on answering the questions fully and to give an accurate analysis of every question. I also need to revise the theorists and the regulation of the different industries as that is where I lost marks.
